Iphone apps, TripIt, Moo… to do list before leaving

by Nathalie on March 4, 2009

I started to prepare what I will need and test some applications.

TripIt (http://www.tripit.com)

I decided to try TripiT. I just emailed my electronic ticket and travel info to plans@tripit.com. And I got my plan with much more info:

  • Organize trip details into one master online itinerary — even if arrangements are booked at multiple travel sites
  • Automatically include maps, directions and weather in their master itinerary
  • Have the option to book restaurants, theatre tickets, activities and more right from within the online itinerary
  • Safely access travel plans online, share them, check-in for flights, or print an itinerary

Are you using TripIt? Do you have feedback, tips?

iPhone Apps

I installed some free applications which I thought my be useful for this trip:

  • “Devise” which allow to automatically see the price in several currency
  • “World Nomads Mandarin” which provide many basic survival sentences  in mandarin as well as a language lesson. It is well organized by categories and seems quite complete for a free apps
  • “Metros Guide Lite” which is a service for the China Metro Transfer, metro fare, metro route map

Any apps you know or use while travelling that might be useful?

I also ordered business cards and some moo minicards via Moo, bought a 2Go new memory card for my camera, as well as a paper guide to Beijing….

If you have already been to Beijing, let me know what you recommend!
